I am very grateful for HIP HOP! The music that’s broken barriers and spoke to generations is the new rock and roll. Definitely helped shaped me. I am grateful for my ambitious siblings for leading by example. Lastly I am grateful for my grandparents, aunts and uncle for being the village that helped raise me.

In the last 24 hours I was able to rest and start my graduate essay. And touch the 2 projects that I am working on this fall.

I feel gratitude to the amount to my close friends whom are willing to help me progress. I am grateful to stay connected with my family and lastly I am grateful to know my self worth

I feel am grateful for my grandmothers wisdom, grateful for a sister and a girl friend who care about me enough to listen to my thoughts and ideas and give me honest feedback and lastly I am thankful for enlightenment to understand that life is bigger than me or societal norms

In the last 24 hours I was able to reach out to a photographer that will assist me in creating my upcoming project. I also ate a delicious dinner made by D and was able to relax.

I feel am grateful for the many mentors that have come in my life and given me jewels expecting little in return, I am grateful for my dedication to and follow thru, and I lastly I am thankful for the present moments

In the last 24 hours I was about to sit with my mentor Z and catch up with his plans. I was also able to tell him about my project in what it is I wanted to develop in the coming months.

I’m grateful for the level of access to information I have. While the truth is subjective I am just happy to have the freedom to come up with my own. I am grateful for the resources to technology that I’ve had since a young age. I am lastly grateful that both of my grandmothers are still alive and healthy. It means a lot to me.

In the last 24 hours THE SAINTS WON!! Haha okay only half joking. In the last 24 hours I was able to be productive and find ways to get myself organized and help others organize.

I’m grateful for the freedom to take a break when I need to (in life and at work); I’m grateful that my grandmother can still call me; lastly I’m grateful that my family knows that I love them.

In the last 24 hours I was able to have a good conversation with my sister, and my boy Jonathan about life and moving forward. I was also given a new book recommendation from my sister that I’m really excited about.

I would like to show gratitude for my goals. I am thankful for being happy. and lastly, am thankful for being able to do my best to find success in each and everyday.

In the last 24 hours I was able to have lunch with D’s younger sister discuss her future, her goals and ambitions.

LIFE HACK “Creating Positive Change” (Day Four)

1. Write down 3 gratitude’s each day

  1. Freedom, my freedom of speech, my freedom to choose the life I want to live, my freedom to express myself
  2. Seattle, as much crap as I use to talk about living here and even though I’m not a huge fan of any of the sports teams, overall I appreciate the fact that my parents landed here and the growth that I was able to do once I actually moved to the city. 
  3. Love, I saw a man today with an RIP shirt on and it said “Life isn’t forever, but LOVE is” I thought it was an interesting quote and something I’ve been thinking on.

I had a chance to catch up with my brody Richie Le today and even though we only spoke briefly it was nice to hear from here and I am excited about his journey. He released some new music today and I look forward to seeing his progression. We talked about life and whats next for the both of us and our families. 

3. Exercise: Not as much as I wish I could have

4. Meditate: No meditation, but I did get a chance to zone out and listen to some good music.

1. Write down 3 gratitude’s each day

The 3 gratitudes I have today are my good communication skills, a good understanding of my identity, and my compassion for others

2. Journal about 1 positive experience you’ve had over the last 24 hours 

A positive experience in the last 24 hours I was able to have was being able to catch up on Dexter with my roommate. Although this may not seem of much importance, its nice to be able to shut down for a moment and enter a fictional world. Interestingly enough I hate fiction novels and usually prefer documentaries, however I love crime mysteries and can get wrapped into television shows. 

3. Exercise: I went for two walks today on campus

1. Write down 3 gratitude’s each day

The 3 gratitudes I have today are good health, happiness and educational progression. 

2. Journal about 1 positive experience you’ve had over the last 24 hours 

A positive experience in the last 24 hours was meeting our visiting scholar today and having her tell us that we were of great assistance to her. We were told that compared to many other programs we had gone above and beyond in trying to find resources. It is definitely our goal to make sure she has a positive experience here in Seattle.
